Organic brown lentils are a versatile cupboard staple that add protein and vital nutrients to a range of recipes. Brown lentils are softer than green lentils and can be mashed. They add flavour to soups and salads and will stand alone, if necessary, with some flavour as their own vegetable dish. 
These lentils are ideal in classic vegetarian versions of bolognese, lasagna, moussaka and cottage pie.
They require no pre-soaking and around 30-40 minutes cooking. 
Pulses are great for reducing cholesterol, digestive upsets and for getting more protein and iron into your diet.
