Product description
Black pepper is the most pungent and flavoured of all types of pepper. Along with its culinary purposes, black pepper has been valued for its medicinal applications for treatment of digestive disorders. It has demonstrated impressive antioxidant and antibacterial properties as well, and the outer layer of the peppercorn has been proven to stimulate the breakdown of fat cells. Pepper is best ground onto food.
Since the aromatic oils in it lose their flavour and aroma if heated for too long, it is best to add black pepper near the end of of the cooking process.

How to store
Keep in a tightly sealed glass container in a cool, dark and dry place. Whole peppercorns will keep almost indefinitely, while ground pepper will remain fresh for about 3 months. Pepper can also be frozen, although this will make its flavour more pronounced.
